The Sims 4 Movin’ On Up Legacy Challenge

Hi Cider Tomlein here. Wanted to tell you about my crazy life since I ditched everything and everyone one I knew to start a new life in a new world. I arrived in San Myshuno with just enough ready money to cover the deposit on a small, mice and roach infested apartment on Chic Street in the Fashion District.

First thing I did was hit the local gym, where after a work out and an unfortunate incident whilst looking for the bathrooms, I picked up an odd job beachcombing for trash in Sulani that earned me enough for a meal and a sleeping bag. Man, that floor the first night was HARD.

The next day I started work as a Junior Draftperson in what I was hoping would be a long and happy career, but would you believe it, I got headhunted by the local crime lord! The starting bonus was just too much for a Sim with no furniture to turn down so I hopped on over to the dark side.

Date 1
Date 2

I have to admit I did crush on my cute neighbour for a while, and it seemed like it might go somewhere when a TV exec called out of nowhere and offered me a spot on reality show 7 Wild Dates. All I had to do was go on 7 perfect dates in 7 days and have some cameras follow me around, although I can’t say I noticed the cameras. Well the first date went off beautifully, but trying to date while the crime boss is calling is hard and the second date didn’t go as well as hoped, so no Grand Prize for me.

Celene

The thing is though, the next day, a got call from this cute sounding girl who wanted to meet up, and suddenly Celene was in my life. Boy did we fall hard for each other! Pretty much love at first sight. Celene wanted to move in right away, but I suggested we hold off a while until I found a better place.

If I am honest, I didn’t want Celene to know about my life of crime so when the cops pulled me over coming out of work one night and offered me the chance to walk free if I snitched on the boss, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. I walked out of that court with my head held high, unemployed but with a clear conscience. I just REALLY needed to find a new place to live in a different part of town.

Fortunately, I had been saving up my ill-gotten gains, I packed up my meagre bits of furniture and soon found myself across town in the Spice Market in a much nicer two bed apartment in Culpepper House. This one even had carpets! I invited Celene over straight away and would you know it, she proposed to me on the spot. Of course I said yes, and this time I didn’t turn down the opportunity to move in together straight away. A nicer apartment, needs a two salary family after all.

I soon found myself a steady job at the sports centre and although being a mascot has it’s advantages, I hope to be a fully fledged athlete one day. Working my way to the top is so much more satisfying than looking over my shoulder for cops and rival gangs.. Celene has put her geek talents to work training to be an engineer. Settling down to the family life suits me way better than a life of crime, I can tell you.
